Signor Sassi is an Italian restaurant with lots of atmosphere and character, it came all the way from london to kuwait city.
Kuwait Food Company (FOOD.KW) who is owned by alkhorafi made the deal
with San Carlo Group to launch its Signor Sassi restaurant chain across the region, ‘Signor Sassi’ is targeted at consumers looking for authentic Italian cuisine. The company plans to open 22 ‘Signor Sassi’ restaurants across the Middle East, starting with Kuwait, Dubai, Riyadh and Cairo. Earlier in December 2008.
The official opening will be on the 7th of October 2009
So Get ready for the best pasta as they say ...

Pink Berry Not Berry Good At All!
Ok so after I heard a lot of commotion about Pink Berry I finally made my way there after Friday prayer! I got to say it was s huge disappointment especially that I am such a fan and loyal customer to AL Shaya restaurants! My brother asked for a taste of the green tea when I had already ordered one of each to sample. He warned be about the taste but I didn’t listen thinking that I was a connoisseur of gastronomy and he couldnt tell the difference between sweet and sour.
Let me stop here for a bit and give u an idea of what they offer in case you don’t know. There are 3 flavors Original (plain), Pomegranate and Green Tea! Topping are split between Fresh Fruit and Dry Toppings (Chocolate and coconut shavings, something that looks like rainbow colored cornflakes and more…).
So I was determined to like it I took the spoon and tired the Green Tea first! I don’t want to be rude so let me just say I am glad it wasn’t such a big spoon! I moved on to the original it was better only because I had some fruit toppings on it but it tasted like the yogurt that they put on the dinner table. It was so sour! Honestly I did not taste the Pomegranate. I trusted the ones who tasted it before me this time and said it was not good! We left the stuff barely touched and went back to our usual table at Haagen Daz.
BOTTOM LINE:
Service was great.
Ambiance was very nice
Toppings were good but the main product really lacked. It tastes like Nadec yoghurt. Not that Nadec is bad it’s just not something for you sweet tooth.
I don’t think the Frozen Yogurt is supposed to taste like this. If it does then they should add a new topping Stuffed Grape Leafs (Wara3 3inib) Like in the picture below. Or take some home and put it on your ma2looba .
If you don’t trust me try it out for yourself and let me know what you think. I would love to hear your feedback

Asrony: Best Cake in Kuwait
No this is not the Cake you buy at Lenotre or Cake and Bake. This is arabic Ca3ik with a variety of stuffing wether your suffering from a hunger attack or just want to satisfy your sweet tooth. They have everything from Cake stuffed with Meat, Chesse, Labna, to Chocolate and Kunafa. Best of all they deliver.

Afndem restaurant (THUMBS DOWN)
My friends and I went to try out the new Turkish restaurant
at sha'ab "Afndem".
To be honest we expected the Restaurant to
Be way better, Unfortunately it wasn't
We start with the atmosphere :
1- it's more likely to be a
shesha
cafe then a restaurant,because the first question when you enter is
"Hello sir, shesha or restaurant ??
" so you can imagine how surprised we were ??
2- since the restaurant
offered shesha then the atmosphere
is an anti-family's place
3- the decor has nothing to do with turkey or turkish heritage
4- the welcoming paragraph in the menu
doesn't say what is the meaning of the word
"afandem"
service :
1- the waiter was rude
2- when we asked about the dishes he had no
clue and kept calling the kitchen by phone to ask them
3- he used inappropriate words
4- the complimentary appetizers came with the main course ???
could you explain why it's called appetizer ??
food :
1- the homos tasted like it just came out of the fridge
(very cold plus it was hard to scoop up)
2- the sujek was spicy (it caused heart burn)
3- the meat of the iskandar and
kabab batye tasted bad note to the owner ( the menu contains 70% Lebanese dishes)
please add more Turkish star dishes
at the end the overall rating is 4 out of 10
