“CTRUS” a see-through soccer ball

Envisioned by AGENT, a strategic intelligence embassy, the “CTRUS” is a see-through soccer ball that imitates the bounce of an inflated pneumatic soccer ball, but without losing the air, giving transparency to the game of soccer. In fact, it does not need air to recoil and perform. Claimed to be the first soccer ball you can see through, CTRUS’ functional principle is based on the mechanical properties of its materials, i.e. an inner structure (skelle-core) and an outer net-embedded shell, which is carved out of reinforced elastomer to make it more flexible in comparison to regular soccer balls.

The hybrid soccer ball comes integrated with an interactive detection system that communicating wirelessly with control stations at the stadium changes its color to display the critical game situations, such as goal, offside, kick force, travel speed and if the ball is over the goal line or outside the field of play, via a GPS/RFID inner light. Al Hilal Striker Nawaf Al Abed Scores After Two Seconds

Saudi striker Nawaf Al Abed has scored what newspapers in the Kingdom are claiming to be the fastest goal ever recorded in a professional football match, when he gave Al Hilal the lead after only two seconds.

The incident took place in the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Cup match between Al Hilal and Al Shoalah. The goal was officially clocked at two seconds and the match eventually ended in a 4-0 win for Al Hilal.

Al Abed spotted the Al Shoalah goalkeeper off his line straight from the kickoff and the 21-year-old striker tried his luck from the halfway line.

Amazing 40m Headed Goal!

Most footballers who are lucky enough to score their 200th first division goal do so in a conventional manner — i.e. with their feet and from a reasonable distance. Not Martin Palermo. No, he opted for the Rolls Royce of 200th goals with his 40-meter header (into an open net, mind you) to give Boca Juniors a 3-2 win over Velez Sarsfield.

Say what you will about the fact that he scored on a wide open goal, to have that much power and accuracy on a header from that far our is pretty amazing.
